Soon, students across the United States will have access to even more choice, and even more resources to further their education.
Introducing the Step Up, Step Further Scholarship. This new program originated from a federal scholarship tax credit law passed in 2025. The tax credit allows donations to a Scholarship Governance Organization (SGO) in exchange for up to a $1,700 nonrefundable tax credit to the donor.
The donations become a scholarship pool of funds that can be awarded to students in K-12 in BOTH public and private schools. Once the state of Florida opts in to the program, Florida families with incomes up to 3 times the median income of their area are eligible to apply for the funds. Scholarships will help cover tuition costs, technology, transportation, educational products, tutoring, and specialized educational needs.
